Transparency colour texture bombing in sketchbook pro

Most of you would be familiar with texture bombing in a 3D program. Well its really easy in sketchbook pro when you use the layer transparency lock. I shot this classic Hills Hoist in a Melbourne last night and thought it would be a bit of fun to use the colour and texture on the nullabor tractor. I will do a demo and explain how next week.... so keep posted.

Liquid form speed sketch

Just a very quick sketch to loosen up and explore a different style. The idea is to throw it down quickly ...you can clean it up in the next sketch.

MADA Monash Industrial Design Exhibition

I visited the Monash Industrial Design Exhibition this week and was very pleased to see some excellent creativity and impressive models. Congratulations to Mike Chester from GM Design, Mike lectures in the Clay Modelling Studio and the outstanding skills and techniques developed in the studio are evident in the final project models on display in the graduate exhibition. I was very fortunate to work with Mike on many occasions he was my chief modeler at Nissan design Australia, we both started our automotive careers at GMH Design in melbourne when Tom Matano was Senior designer in the Torana studio.
Both myself and Tom regard Mike as one of the best Creative Modelers in the world
