Autodesk launched a new competition today and the subject is something my students will know how passionate I feel about. Telling a story with a sketch, and I am honoured to be one of the Judges.
From ancient murals and rich tapestries, to modern works of art and eclectic prints, people have been expressing themselves through illustration for centuries.
If you can imagine it, you can sketch it. “Live it. Sketch it. Share it.” design competition invites youth from around the world to tell their story using Autodesk SketchBook Express – a free, fun, and intuitive drawing app – and share it online to inspire millions of people around the world.
Open to youth aged 13 to 24 from over 30 countries “Live it. Sketch it. Share it.” design competition challenges participants to use the SketchBook Express app’s powerful design elements like layers, shapes, and textures to depict an important moment in their life or represent their cultural influences.
By transforming any desktop or tablet device into a digital canvas, the free app puts over 100 pencils, markers, and airbrushes as well as custom paint color options at your fingertips to digitally doodle and draw – without having to invest in costly art supplies.
