While trying to come up with a fresh concept for my Sunday Afternoon speed sketch I noticed one of the big old roos on our farm bounding at speed with what seemed like little effort...it gave me some creative inspiration for another nullabor racer...this one propels itself along like a giant roo with both legs in tandem.

Character Concept

Haven't done any characters for a while ...had some inspiration. Belive it or not one of the previous snow shots gave me the idea for the characters dress this is the work in progress I will try and finish it next week.

Unforgettable Meating

Vlado Gregurek, iconic owner of Vlado's restaurant in Bridge Road, Richmond, has passed away today.

Vlado opened his first restaurant in 1964 in Collingwood which quickly gained a reputation as one of the best steakhouses in Melbourne and Australia.

I had the pleasure of dining with Paul Taylor, David Flynn, and Ian Wong, when we took Syd Mead and Roger out for the best steak in Australia recommended buy our good friend Tom Matano.
Cheers Vlado for an unforgettable feast.

Creating Concepts

After the quick speed sketch its easy to creat new concepts by evolving the sketch with some new layers...change the colour by locking the transparency of the colour layers...creat new shapes on one side of sketch to see if they work... explore new surfaces remember these are only concepts for a later finished sketch
