Being the year of the horse in China this year I thought it would be a great topic for some free sketching in Sketchbook pro so after a few demos my students at South East University and Monash university double masters  in Suzhou China had a go and produced some stunning work

This week I ran a 3 day workshop at CAFA Transport Design School in Beijing China, the focus was on Digital Concept Sketching using Autodesk Sketchbook pro 6.The students are used to sketching in pencil on paper so it was the first time they used Sketchbook and the results were very good

After my previous sketches exploring new subjects and colour hues I thought my first sketch in China should be something different and relate to China. The concept was to explore the more traditional lines of Chinese graphics from the past, any way what do you think. Sketched with sketchbook pro on a Wacom Campanion.

Very quick speed sketch to loosen up and play with some colour hues.
It's good every now and then to do something completely different to keep your creativity fresh Don't stay with the same thing all the time.
Get out of your comfort zone it will freshen you up

Thought I would show you what my Grandson Cody and I were sketching on his Birthday He's one so this is a revamped snow racer especially for him. He got to do a bit of speed sketching on the Wacom Companion to him it was like sketching on a 24 HD Cintiq

"Can I have a go Par" What do you think Cody used my Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 with Sketchbook pro Android version for tablets similar to the mobile version, a good program for beginners.
