Thunderbirds are go

Sad to hear today of the passing of one of the creators of science fiction and what the future could be like that started me on my future career.
Gerry Anderson .....
He and his wife Sylvia inspired millions of us kids around the world. I was only about 8 when I first made a model of Thunderbird 2, created by Gerry and designed by Derek Meddings see some of his original sketches....unlike thunderbird 3 thunderbird 2 was really unique and very creative for its design concept even influencing the concept  design for the prometheus ship.Gerry created such series as UFO, Fireball XL5, Supercar, Space 1999, Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds and my favourite feature film when I was a kid Doppelganger
Gerry you were one the first futurist incredibly creative your mind will be missed ...Cheers Bernie Walsh

I have modified the old spitfire into a personal sled for Santa to get around the north pole quickly

Sketchbook character sketch

I wasn't happy with my previous effort at character sketching so with my Sunday afternoon sketch time I have had another go this time with a typical Bernie Walsh quick loose style sketch.....much happier

We are very lucky here on our mountain when a storm comes in nature always puts on a great show,....excellent background sketching reference.

Transparency colour texture bombing in sketchbook pro

Most of you would be familiar with texture bombing in a 3D program. Well its really easy in sketchbook pro when you use the layer transparency lock. I shot this classic Hills Hoist in a Melbourne last night and thought it would be a bit of fun to use the colour and texture on the nullabor tractor. I will do a demo and explain how next week.... so keep posted.
